The Objective

  • Store as much surplus electricity as possible
  • Future proof the installation for possible wind turbine
  • Make it beneficial to run electric aga using greener energy

Being a rural customer with a lot of electrical loads in the home, we helped our client to utilise as much renewable energy as possible with the use of a large battery storage system. As we delve into the intricacies of this case study, we unveil the ingenious strategies and cutting-edge technologies employed by St. John’s Chapel to not only store surplus electricity efficiently but also lay the foundation for a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.

The Solution

We were already fitting Solar panels to the roof but needed a way to run ‘out of the ordinary’ appliances on greener/less expensive energy. As the Solar would be exporting a fair margin due to work hours, we opted for a 6kW hybrid inverter that could be connected together with the Solar and batteries to save on inverter power losses. Rather than a standard 5-10kwh of storage, we installed 19.2kwh.

More efficiency

More efficiency

The batteries could be charged and discharged at a much higher rate.

Greener Energy

Greener Energy

The aga was able to be used in a much greener way.

More sources

The 6kW inverter gave the ability to charge the batteries using wind power later.

Powell Uk – Bradford

Solar Panels

Solar Panel installations becoming a no brainer for businesses as we head into the later part of the decade. With payback times less than 5 years is very achievable. Whilst making great reductions to a carbon footprint.

This case study takes a look at how we have helped Powell (UK) Ltd take huge steps towards become more self sufficient. It followed on from our LED conversion of all light fittings on the site, already cutting around 60% of their overall lighting consumption. We were lucky enough to be able to provide an expanse on their savings by adding Solar PV panels to the roof, giving an overall total of 260kWp.

Harnessing the Sun

Solar Panels

The deployment of solar panels has emerged as a beacon of hope for organisations seeking to reduce energy consumption costs, monitor live data, and leave a lasting impact on their local environment.

This case study takes a deep dive into the world of solar panel technology. We helped High Force Research Ltd. gain a head start along the road of significantly reducing their carbon footprint with the use of a 125kWp Solar PV Array on the roof. Their mission was threefold: to significantly reduce energy consumption costs, establish a live data monitoring system, and make a substantial contribution to curbing their carbon footprint within the community.

Charging Ahead

EV Charging

With a seismic shift towards sustainable transportation, the electric vehicle (EV) industry stands at the forefront of innovation.

As we explore the dynamic landscape of EV charging, this case study shines a spotlight on Intercontinental Brands Ltd. Middlesbrough. The challenge they faced was multi-faceted: to harness the potential of EV charging technology, enabling use for multiple cars, facilitating regular software updates, and, crucially, delivering faster charging speeds than traditional home charging units.
